Identity generated by a few lines of smart code

Type in your name. Any name actually! And a clever algorithm will create an identity in the shape of a website. It will nicely collect (some would say steal) your impressive track record. A machine created personal identity. And almost instantly!

The algorithm behind Pro-Folio is able to generate 690.903.803 trillion unique fictional identities! This isn’t artificial intelligence anymore. Its artificial personality. Its artificial us. Its what happens (or could happen) if we don’t stand our ground against these machine-generated artifacts.

And that’s exactly what Sures Kumar, student at the Royal College of Art, wants to question. Do we really want a world in which we can’t distinguish between a true self or a machine generated?

But for us at C-Roots there is more to this project. It is the drive to be your own creative self. Your own genius. Show us who you truly are and re-humanize the world in which we live. Or at least a world in which we want to live. It all starts with us individuals and we will drive that change also in the corporate world. A corporate world which could do with some more -or a lot- human touch!

NB. Is it any coincidence that this article appears just the day after the re-run of the movie Inception?!
