Frontpage C-roots

It is not often that our work hits frontpage in the (regional) newspaper. It happend to C-Roots on the 23rd of February with the results of 6 months working with four institutes from the city of Hoorn. All four (library, music school, concert hall and art school) faced tough budget cuts and wondered whether a joining of forces also in a joint building would not be an opportunity to deal with this threat. And if so, would there be an additional value to be gained if we would rethink their programming, creating new opportunities for region to enjoy arts in the widest thinkable form. C-Roots loves such challenges, having the opportunity to look far beyond the existing order to create a whole new holist approach. The concept we presented already in November was extended to a feasibility study in which we also presented our ideas for location and first rough design ideas. And exactly this featured prominently on the frontpage. Together with another project for the Library of the Future in Tilburg, it shows once again the wide range of opportunities when you take identity as starting and focal point!
